Jordin Sparks is off to Broadway. The season six winner of American Idol is the latest finalist to land a role on stage, following in the talented footsteps of Clay Aiken and Constantine Maroulis, the latter of whom was even nominated for a Tony Award. Beginning on August 19, Sparks will star in In the Heights , a musical set in the Dominican-American community of New York’s Washington Heights.

Continuing his trip through Europe, Adam Lambert visited Helsinki, Finland as a guest on the Finnish edition of “The X-Factor” on Sunday (May 2). The “American Idol” alum smiled as he posed for pictures, tweeting upon arrival to the city, “Looking forward to a full day here in Finland! Scandinavia is so full of beautiful people!” Having a pleasurable time during his one-day stay, Lambert later wrote, “Thanks to all the fans who came to Stockman in Helsinki today! Thanks for all your positive energy and all your gorgeous Finnish eyes!” Also announcing plans to get busy on a new video in the near future, Adam dished, “If I Had You will be hitting radio in the US very soon..

When American Idol Meets The Twilight Saga…
We ranked her second after Tuesday night’s performance show , but American Idol viewers had a different idea about Siobhan Magnus: They actually voted out this eccentric singer yesterday, cutting season nine down to five finalists. While it’s true Magnus could rely too much on hitting glory notes, and certainly talked back too much to the judges, at least she brought something unique to the Idol table. With the exception of Crystal Bowersox , can that really be said about anyone remaining?
Tending to her always-stellar look, Ashley Tisdale was spotted hitting up the Byron & Tracey salon in Beverly Hills yesterday (April 28). The “High School Musical” hottie looked pleased with her results as she showed off her brunette locks while making her exit amidst a few shutterbugs. Later in the evening, Tizzie assembled with her family to catch the results show for the current season of “American Idol.” And it sounds like they were a house divided when it came to the outcome- Ashley’s big sister Jennifer tweeted, “Mikayla did not agree with the bottom 3 on Idol tonight!”
